How It Works

What MyFootprint Involves

MyFootprint uses the latest methodology issued by the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory to calculate your farm's scope 1 (farm) emissions, scope 2 (indirect) emissions and scope 3 (pre farm) emissions.

Shoes

Enterprise, vegetation, electricity, and fuel data can be easily entered into the app to calculate the farm's carbon balance. MyFootprint then provides a carbon assessment certificate which can be downloaded.

What does the carbon certificate mean?

It is a confidential certificate of your farm emissions baseline. Farm businesses that understand and know their farm emissions profile and can produce a carbon assessment certificate will be better equipped and on the front foot to respond to external pressures. A carbon certificate allows the farmer to:
•  Take control without involving a third party
•  Capitalise on new market opportunities
•  Respond to emerging supply chain and consumer pressures
•  Respond to banks, financiers, insurers and other parties that service agriculture

Data Needed

All farm data needs to be as of a 12-month period.
